How to use a banked Codex reset
Guide sources checked:
Banked reset
A banked reset is a one-time reset saved to your account for later. You apply it yourself. It is not purchased credit, cash or a permanent increase to your plan’s limits.
Find and use your reset
If your account has an available reset, use the steps below. A full reset refreshes the eligible five-hour and weekly windows and changes the weekly reset date; check the updated date afterwards.
- Open the usage section in your Codex client or on the web (Settings → Usage).
- Select the summary that shows an available reset.
- Review its expiry and confirm use only when you intend to apply it.
Direct reset
An automatic reset is applied directly to eligible accounts and does not add a saved reset. Receiving a banked reset and using it are separate actions. Read the specific announcement to see which benefit was offered.
Your normal usage window
Your ordinary usage windows renew separately from promotional resets. Look at your account’s Usage page for your own reset time; this site cannot read it or predict a future promotion.
Eligibility and expiry
Eligibility and expiry depend on the offer, plan, account and workspace. Check the deadline shown in your account before using a reset. An unused reset that has expired cannot be restored; future offers are not guaranteed.
